Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 July 2026
Job Power Group takes the privacy of candidates and employers seriously. Even though our company, JOB POWER GROUP N.V. (KKF no. 172654, Sitalweg No 1, Wanica, Suriname), is registered outside the European Union, we apply data protection standards aligned with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to everyone who uses this platform, wherever they are located.
1. Data Controller
JOB POWER GROUP N.V. is the data controller responsible for the personal data processed through jobpowergroup.com. For any privacy-related question or request, contact info@jobpowergroup.com.
2. What Data We Collect
Depending on how you use the platform, we may collect:
- Candidates: full name, email, phone number, date of birth, languages spoken, work history and headline, professional certifications (with expiry dates and supporting documents where uploaded), and your CV file.
- Employers: company name, contact person's name, email, and vacancy details you publish.
- Account data: login credentials (managed securely by our authentication provider), account role, and consent records.
- Usage data: aggregated, cookieless analytics about how the site is used (see our Cookie Policy).
3. How We Use Your Data
- To create and manage your candidate or employer account.
- To match candidates with relevant job vacancies and let employers review applicants.
- To verify professional certifications required for specific roles.
- To send you emails related to your account, applications, or vacancies you post.
- To improve the platform and keep it secure.
Where a candidate uploads a CV, we may use an AI-assisted parsing tool to help extract structured information (such as certifications and years of experience) to speed up matching. This assistance never replaces human review — any certification promoted to a verified record requires an explicit action from our team or from you.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
- Consent — given explicitly when you register an account or submit an application.
- Contract — processing necessary to provide the recruitment service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interest — for example, keeping a wider talent pool so we can proactively suggest candidates to employers, always subject to your rights described below.
5. Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell personal data to third parties. Your data may be shared with:
- Employers — only for candidates who applied to their vacancy, or who explicitly opted into being discoverable, and only the information relevant to that application.
- Service providers we rely on to run the platform, acting as data processors under confidentiality obligations: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), Vercel (hosting), Resend (transactional email), Anthropic (AI-assisted CV parsing), and Backblaze (encrypted database backups).
- Authorities — only if required by law.
6. International Data Transfers
Because our service providers operate internationally, your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including within the European Union and the United States. We select providers that apply appropriate security and confidentiality safeguards.
7. Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active, or as long as needed to fulfil the purposes described above. Encrypted database backups are retained for a limited rolling period for disaster-recovery purposes. If you request deletion of your account, your personal data is permanently removed, subject to any legal obligation requiring us to retain specific records for longer.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Export your personal data in a portable format.
- Erase your account and personal data — this is a permanent, hard deletion, not a deactivation.
- Object to certain uses of your data, such as being included in our proactive talent pool.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@jobpowergroup.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
9. Sensitive Documents
CVs and certification documents you upload are only accessible to you, to authorised Job Power Group staff directly involved in recruitment, and to employers reviewing your application to their own vacancy. These documents are never made publicly accessible.
10. Cookies
This site uses only strictly necessary cookies to keep you logged in, plus cookieless, aggregated analytics. See our full Cookie Policy for details.
11. Children
Job Power Group provides recruitment services for working-age professionals and is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.
13. Contact
Questions about this policy or how we handle your data can be sent to info@jobpowergroup.com.
