Mechanical Technician

The technician maintains offshore vessel equipment and systems through regular maintenance and repairs. Work covers dismantling, repairing, and reassembling mechanical gear, monitoring condition, diagnosing faults, and following pollution control rules and safety protocols. Reports to the Mechanical Supervisor. The technician keeps vessel systems running, manages subcontractors and technical staff, and helps respond when emergencies happen.

Requirements

• Proven experience and/or qualification in Mechanical Engineering (N/SVQ/HNC/HND or local equivalent)
• 3 years experience desired, with offshore experience preferred
• Experience and knowledge of hydrocarbon processing systems and utilities
• Good experience of Permit to Work, Mechanical Isolation Standards and Risk Assessment
• Medically fit for offshore work
